After shooting his first wedding for a neighbor at the age of 15, Alex knew that photography was what he wanted to pursue.
Years later, he not only has his digital Nikon with all the bells and whistles, but has added the older technologies as well – an 8 x 10 view camera, and a copy camera that uses 24 x 24 inch film for copies up to 8 feet long!
Along the way, Alex has taught Chemistry and Russian at the University of South Florida in Tampa and at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. While living in New York City, he did photography for Wiley Kiernan Advertising Agency, the Wall Street Journal, the NY Times, and several national magazines. He built a successful photo studio in Tampa with a slant towards fashion modeling. Alex views his subjects with the goal of having the images jump out of the photo and into the heart.
Today Gailforces Studio produces the finest quality possible, because they are produced with care, and the realization that it is important to hold those “memories in time” close to our hearts for a lifetime.
